When my name was Keoko

Welllllllllllllllll
The story takes place in Korea. It was when Korea was took over by Japan: ((
I personally think that this book is really addicting.
It’s about a girl who goes through rough situations but later on it turns out fine.
I think this is a book that every one should go through:) luv you all<33

Interesting! :D
I heard that the book that you're reading is about the occupation of the Japanese on the Koreans, and the story is on a Korean person's point of view? I do really think that this book would be a good book to read. I hope that you'll learn a lot from this book. Also, "So Far From the Bamboo Grove" sounded really interesting. It's like kind of the same setting except that the speaker is a Japanese. I really want to know how the Japanese felt when they had control over the Koreans.

Christine,

Your post is too short, and it isn't focused on one of the elements of the novel. This weekend, please write two more substantial posts about When My Name was Keoko. For each post, focus on one of the following: setting, plot, characterization, or theme.

A cool setting!
I have always wanted to
read 'When My Name was Keoko'!
I think that the setting
is very interesting and I
would like to learn the
point of view that the koreans
had during the war!
By reading this book,
I think that you will build
alot of 'patriotism' hehe
